What Is DualSculpting?
DualSculpting is a procedure that uses 2 CoolSculpting® machines to reduce fat on multiple areas of the body at once. DualSculpting reduces unwanted fat using the same fat-freezing technology as CoolSculpting®, but it removes more fat in less time with fewer in-office appointments.
How DualSculpting Works
Both CoolSculpting® and DualSculpting are powered by cryolipolysis. Cryolipolysis is a fat-loss process in which fat cells are frozen to very cold temperatures, causing them to become crystalized. The crystalized fat cells die, and are then metabolized and eliminated from the body. Because CoolSculpting® provides selective cooling, the surrounding skin, tissues, and nerves are not harmed.

Your DualSculpting Treatment
We offer DualSculpting at our convenient locations throughout the Boston area. Most DualSculpting appointments take anywhere from 35 minutes to 2 hours. Your DualSculpting session time will depend on the size and number of areas you’re having treated.
There’s no preparation needed prior to your DualSculpting procedure. During treatment, you’ll sit or recline in a comfortable position as 2 CoolSculpting® applicators are applied to the areas of fat you want removed. Then, you’ll feel a suctioning sensation along with intense cold for about 10 minutes. After that, the area becomes less sensitive and you are free to relax as the CoolSculpting® machines do their work.
Once your DualSculpting treatment is complete, you can go back to work, home, or your daily routine right away. It’s normal to feel slightly sore afterward. You may also notice that your skin is red, swollen, or evenly slightly bruised. These are all normal side effects that resolve within the first few days.
Your DualSculpting Results
Your DualSculpting results will start to appear after about 3 weeks, with full results visible in 2 – 3 months. By including additional DualSculpting sessions to your treatment plan, you can enhance your results and maximize your fat loss.
Like CoolSculpting®, DualSculpting is not a replacement for diet and exercise. So, although the treated fat will never return, it is still possible to gain weight where you had DualSculpting performed. Be sure to exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet for long-lasting DualSculpting results.
