How It Works
CoolSculpting® destroys unwanted fat using a unique fat-freezing process called cryolipolysis. The Treatment
Your CoolSculpting® treatment should take an hour or less, depending on the size and number of areas treated. There’s no preparation needed before your procedure, and you are free to go back to your normal routine immediately after.
During treatment, cooling panels are placed on the areas of unwanted fat. You will feel a suctioning sensation as the CoolSculpting® handpiece draws the skin between the panels. A feeling of intense cold will occur during the first 10 minutes of your treatment. This may feel uncomfortable for a moment, but not unbearable, and most people tolerate it well. The feeling of cold will become less noticeable as your procedure goes on.
Once your CoolSculpting® session is over, you may have some swelling, soreness, or redness at the treatment site. This is temporary and should resolve in a day or two. There are no restrictions after CoolSculpting®, and so you can go back to work and your daily activities.
The Results
The results of CoolSculpting® appear gradually over the course of about 3 months – just as if you had lost the fat naturally.
